Islands, Islands, Islands

Blue Rocks has more islands per paddle stroke than anywhere. Islands make paddling trips great and there are dozens of beautiful, uninhabited islands to explore.

Safe, Protected Paddling

Our multitude of islands protect kayakers from the wind and waves. We have one of the safest paddling areas as the islands form a barrier from the elements that allows us to paddle in calm water.

Around every corner there are things to see. There is a seal colony with grey and harbour seals, scores of birds, sea creatures and mammals hiding on the islands.

Great Guides

We live to get people on the water, teach kayaking, and show you this wonderful area. Our goal is to give friendly, patient instruction and guide you through an experience you will not forget.

Paddle to the Seals

Perhaps the highlight of my time in Nova Scotia. We did the Paddle to the Seals with guides Karl and Phillip who were knowledgeable, kind, and funny. Got to learn about geology, marine life, and history of the region. Tour included a pit stop where some of us jumped into the chilly Atlantic and enjoyed the tour provided snack of

Paddle to the Seals

We booked our excursion for the early morning. The day started with a silver grey blanket of fog that teased the reflections in the still glass of the water. Our guides were knowledgeable, personable and fun. This was our first attempt at sea-kayaking but not our last. The scenery and the stories made this a very worthwhile experience. We wouldn't
